Mudi 7 is a GL.iNet router. Its family model is GL-E5800. GL.iNet’s product specifications list two regional product codes: GL-E5800NA and GL-E5800EU. Mudi7 Remote is a separate, independently developed iPhone and iPad app for controlling a nearby router. Official GL.iNet product specifications.
Who makes the hardware?
GL.iNet is the hardware brand. Its Mudi 7 user guide identifies GL Technologies (Hong Kong) Limited in the EU declaration of conformity. The hardware is a portable cellular router with 5G connectivity and Wi-Fi 7, sold separately from this app. GL.iNet Mudi 7 documentation.
The App Store publisher of Mudi7 Remote is not the router manufacturer. The app is not affiliated with or endorsed by GL.iNet or the OpenClash project. For router warranty, radio specifications and official firmware downloads, use GL.iNet’s support channels.
Understand the model names

GL.iNet lists the Mudi/Mudi V2 family separately. A shared Mudi name does not establish compatibility with Mudi7 Remote.
NA and EU: what matters for app users?
The NA and EU variants have different cellular band tables. A region suffix does not guarantee support for every carrier in that region, and using a router across regions needs separate checks. Mudi7 Remote communicates with the router over local Wi-Fi. That connection does not add cellular bands, change carrier certification or turn one regional hardware variant into another. Check the label or purchase record for your exact variant and compare its official bands with your carrier’s requirements.
What does Mudi7 Remote actually support?
The app recognizes GL-E5800, GL-E5800NA and GL-E5800EU model strings. Model recognition and complete physical-device testing are separate checks: both regional variants have not yet completed full hardware validation for the app.
Device-setting controls target compatible GL.iNet firmware 4.10. A recognized model still needs the relevant firmware capability for a control to be available. Unknown models remain read-only; changing the displayed name cannot establish hardware support.
You also need iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later, router administrator credentials, SSH access and Wi-Fi access on the same local IPv4 subnet. OpenClash controls require your own existing, configured OpenClash installation.
