Summary

Quick Copy for Safari, developed by blocktom, stores reusable text in Safari’s local extension storage. The app and extension do not collect personal data, use advertising or analytics SDKs, require an account, or send saved phrases to a developer-operated server.

Local phrases

Titles, phrase content and ordering are saved locally in the Safari extension. Search and editing take place on your Mac. Chrome and Safari maintain separate libraries; no cloud synchronization or automatic access to another browser’s data is provided.

The extension requests the storage permission. It does not request access to website content or browsing history, and does not inject scripts into webpages.

Clipboard and backups

When you click Copy, the selected phrase is written to the system clipboard. Quick Copy does not monitor or read your clipboard. Other applications may access clipboard contents according to macOS controls, so avoid copying sensitive information on an untrusted device.

Import reads the JSON backup you select. Export creates a JSON file containing your saved phrases. You control where exported files are stored and whether they are shared. These files are not encrypted by Quick Copy.

Delete phrases in the extension when you no longer need them. Browser settings, removal of the extension, or removal of its data may delete the local library. Save an export before making those changes. Removing the extension does not delete backups you exported elsewhere.

Purchases

The Safari edition is planned as a paid Mac App Store download. Apple handles App Store purchases, payment details, refunds, updates and related platform operations under its own terms and privacy policy. Quick Copy does not receive your payment card information and has no subscription or in-app purchase system.

Developer links to X and blocktom.com open only when you choose them. No external page is fetched during normal phrase-manager startup. External websites apply their own privacy policies.

If you contact support, the information you choose to send is used to respond to your request. Please do not include sensitive saved phrases. Contact [email protected] for help or privacy questions.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the product changes. The effective date above identifies the current policy. This policy covers Quick Copy for Safari; other browsers or apps may have separate policies.
